Ok, lets get the season off to the right start. . . we all know that Arizona will start the year #1 and of course they will win it all this year, but that doesn't mean they will cover every single game they play. Hence, we need some proven systems to turn this season into a profitable year besides taking Arizona 5:1 to win it all.

Here's mine:

Play an unranked home favorite over a ranked away dog. Has been profitable in the past, but unfortunately I don't have proof as far as how the actual numbers turned out last year. Of course the reasoning is very easy to grasp: Vegas simply knows better than those voting in the polls.

Here's to picking nothing but winners in college basketball this year!

Nickel , I followed that system last year and thought it worked out great ! I have one involving conference HOME dogs. I narrowed down using the Big10, Big 12, Big East, ACC & SEC . I bet all home dogs in these conference games. Nothing against the pac 10 or other conferences, but I found better results the last 3 years--over 60% , in these certain conferences.No one goes undefeated in conference play any more. Some plays rate higher than others. I will try & post this year !!
My only question is when is it better to bet these games , in the morning or wait till the public drives it up. Everyone LOVES the favorite :D
Even the money line can be used on strong plays !

We'll see this year : can't wait :shrug:

Big Chalk - Play 1/2 half instead of game line

Big Chalk - Play 1/2 half instead of game line

I'm not sure that you could call it a system but I tracked this for most of the 2000-2001 season in detail and kept my eye on it last year...

IF you like a large FAV of 15 points or more...play them on the first half line instead of the game line...

IF you like the a large DOG of 15 points or more...play them on the game line and stay away from the first half line.

The first 142 games with lines of 15 or more in the 2000-2001 season...

Large FAV vs half line - 83-54-5 - 60.58%
Large FAV vs game line - 71-71 - 50%

Breakdown: W=Win:L=Loss:p=Push...XY X=1/2 line,Y=game line
WW=61 games
LL=45 games
WL=22 games
LW=9 games
PL=4 games
PW=1 game

26 games won or pushed on the 1/2 line but lost on the game line...

Only 10 games lost or pushed on the 1/2 line but came back to win on the game line...

If I have time to track this this season, I will. I also broke down the data by point speads 15-19, 20-24,25-29, 30-40.

30-40 point spread FAVs were 7-0 vs 1/2 line (5-2 vs game line)

If anyone wants the Excel spreadsheet from 2000-2001, I can get it to you.

System I used last year worked pretty well....

Big East conferance game.. play 1H unders and 2H overs. It hit at a very good rate.... I didn't really track it but I did have success with it....

Dont know how much that helps.... :shrug:
