Sunderland had a great first half of their campaign last season, but the wheels fell off when defensive injuries forced them into negative play. They have one of the best goal scoring threats in the league and while Birmingham City surprised last year, they're trading in the goalkeeper of the year for Ben Foster, who was absolutely garbage every time I saw him for United last season
Sunderland (ENG-P) +123* vs Birmingham (ENG-P) risking 1 unit
Everton was one of the best 4 teams in the league last year when their injured players came back in the second half of the year. They've won 63% of their games over the past 2 years when Arteta and Cahill have both been healthy and they've pissed away too many potentially good years due to slow starts to not be 100% focused this time out
Everton (ENG-P) +149* vs Blackburn (ENG-P) risking 1 unit
Blackpool makes it's Premier League debut and they won't be here for long. The sides that are short on talent that stay up are the ones who get dug in and play defensive, but Blackpool's manager wants them to "play like Spain." Earlier this week, they only had 16 players on their senior squad because no one good wants to go there as their expected to go right back down and they were also getting outbid for players from third division sides. Great story, but their manager seems naive. Wigan may be relegated this year but they say that every year, had some nice home wins and it seems like a short price.
Wigan (ENG-P) -113* vs Blackpool (ENG-P) to win 1 unit
Homer play. . . was going to stay away from this game due to the uncertainty of how a side that's 50%+ new will play in their first real test, but +200+? Based on the 6 defensive midfielders that are in now and the speed that's been brought on the wings and upfront, it's pretty clear that City are going to be primarily a counter-attacking team, especially against the top half of the table. So much hope for Spurs this year and they'll have to be looking to attack in their first home game.
