I'm bouncing off the walls waiting for this season to start so to calm me down I thought I'd make a few meaningless piks based on a totally meaningless stat.

When a average home team (7-9 wins) plays a poor away team (less than 7 wins) in the preseason, the poor team covers 78% of the time(1997-2002).

Teams are ranked by total points scored & total points allowed from the prior year then rated 1 Good, 2 Avg, 3 Poor.
A "poor" rated away team vs a "avg" rated home team is 28-15 ATS but more, it's 5-0 ATS this pre-season.

It appears to me that Seattles BU's are more talented than Denvers soooo I'm hearing this doogie a barking.
