Pride just doesn't get it. They want to enter the US market so they'll get more coverage here but for some reason they won't give us good fights. Silva vs Henderson is ok at best but in all reality it's a total mis match. All of the other fights suck, although I think it will be fun to see Diaz in a Pride event. They haven't given us one good fight yet.

As soon as the Franklin/Mac line comes out(and I'm saying the minute it comes out) I'm getting down big on it. Mac beats two guys that can't even win their season of TUF and for some reason people think he has a chance against Ace. :shrug:

i disagree totally.....see my comments in the other mma thread....

much better card than the upcoming ufc snoozefest.....

you have franklin and hughes...an old couture and a questionnable tim sylvia....and they did put sobral in there...

in pride you have silva,hendo(hendo`s slipped,but he`s still dangerous,imo)..gomi vs diaz is a fantastic fight,imo....a slugfest...

silva SHOULD win.....but...he`s only -275..and i think the rules will be a little different in vegas...i don`t think those wandy kicks on the ground will be legal....t

those aren`t outrageous odds,my friend.......if you REALLY like him,you should jump on it....those odds are very favorable...if it`s actually a mismatch....

i think that misaki/ trigg will be interesting..if trigg makes it out of the first round...what happened to old frank?...........mauricio rua vs overeem (who was a whisker away from beating chuck liddell).....

i respectfully disagree that the pride card is terrible....

not the best pride card...but a decent one....

you really like this ufc card?....

btw...i`m a huge fan of gomi..he`s been very good to me......

but,we`ve got some rule changes here....and diaz is a MUCH bigger guy.....this probably stays standing....but,on the ground,diaz should have an advantage,imo....but even standing,diaz should have a big reach advantage....

diaz has fought guys like parysian,riggs et al.....big guys....

he has trouble with stronger guys(parisyan/riggs/sherk)..that shouldn`t be the case here...

and this isn`t japan...gomi doesn`t have that innate homecourt advantage.....

maybe gomi`s speed will overwhelm him...gomi`s a blur....... i like those odds,though....

i might even take a flyer on trigg....

been on a good streak lately.....can afford to throw some small change away on some doggies...

lets try one more dog...overeem +370.....

based on the rule changes in vegas.....taking away rua`s stomps..no 10 minute first round....r.and after watching him since the broken arm.......i think overeem has a shot.....

rua can be a beast,granted........an outside shot,granted.....t least,+370 is worth a look,imo....overeem is wildly inconsistent...but he has talent....

3 doggies for fun...no boxing to watch tonight....

Toe to Toe blows from Gomi and Diaz.
A bloodied Diaz gets a tap out win in the 2nd Rd.

Yeah, that was a great fight. Diaz's right side of his face looked as bad as I've seen a fighters face look in a long time. That cut was nasty.

2. Hendo winning makes it possible for Rua to be the ** champion now.

nick diaz is limited....and not the most likable dewd drawing breath.....but he has the heart of a lion.....

i love gomi...but i think that was his first fight outside japan....and he is one dimensional.....

you can`t stand outside and let diaz use that reach to pepper you....

diaz is very lucky the more severe of the 2 cuts was UNDER that eye...

amazing stuff...

2 out of 3 doggies......very happy with that result.....

I thought Diaz would have a chance just because the kid is made to fight. I can't believe how much Diaz gets away with swinging and having his hands down. The kid has no fear and a ton of talent. The re-match, hopefully there will be one, should be awesome.

Rua will be the next ** champ. Everyone has been waiting for him to get his chance. IMO I think he is the best ** in the world. He's more complete than any other.

Silva is done, Crocop took the fight out of him.

Hendo, man I don't know what to think about him. He stunk it up vs Misaki and then beat Belfort in a boring decision, I really thought he was done but I guess I was wrong.

UFC is going to have a hard time topping this one. This kind of fight night doesn't come along very often. For this many dogs to win is something.

i don`t know what to think about saturday`s ufc card.....

i`m hoping that yourself and kegray have some opinions....

looking forward to your posting a thread by saturday....i know you do pretty well with the ufc......
