Check this out. So I call them today on the phone and want to place a bet on the Cards. The guy says okay no problem then gives me the line. The line was about -200. So I tell him that I want to play "TO RISK $50." So the wager would be $50 to win $25. The guy tells me, sorry Sir but we can only accept phone wagers of a minimum of $50. So I say, yeah, so what is the problem? I am playing the Cards for $50 to win $25. He tells me, Sir your "TO WIN" amount has to be $50. I ask him what is this all about? He refuses to take my bet so I hung up. I don't understand this. Why should they give a shit what my "TO WIN" amount is? The minimum wager goes by your "TO RISK" amount NOT your "TO WIN" amount. So, if I was placing a wager for even money, $50 to win $50, he would accept it right? Either way, I am losing $50 if the wager loses. This is bullshit. Not all of us have hundreds of dollars to bet on each game. Basically this guy was telling me that I had to bet the Cards at $100 to win $50. Well, in case they didn't look at their rules on their website, they specifically say minimum phone wager is $50. It says nothing about your "TO WIN" amount being $50. What do they care what I am winning off of the bet? They should only care about what I am losing. AND, what really drives me crazy about this whole thing is that I called up the other day, and I got some girl on the phone, and I wanted to place a bet on the RedSox RISKING $50 TO WIN $25, and she accepted it!! I tried to explain this, but their was no talking to this guy. The reason why this bothers me is becasue it just proves that they don't have their act together. How can one person accept my wager, and another person does not accept my wager? I still don't know the rules! Who is right, the guy or the girl? I would just place my wagers on the internet, but their are often days when I am not by my computer. So on these days, if I now want to bet on a heavy favorite I have to risk $100 to win $50. If anyone knows anything about this please let me know. I would love to know what the real rules are. I would like to add that I do like this book, and have never had a problem where money is concerned. I would recommend these guys to anyone, but this minimum phone wager changing is really not fair, especially how it just happened all of a sudden. Thanks guys.
