I have projected, that NY Islanders should be favourite of around 1.66 if they start with Halak and 1.56 if they play with Greiss. Yes, their backup goalie is much better this season, than Halak and he is getting more and more chance. I wouldn?t be surprised if they start with him again. But anyway, those are projected lines from me and you can get pretty same numbers by bookmakers. You can get even 1.70 if you have more bookmakers account. I give Islanders more than 60% of chance in this game.

Detroit lost yesterday against Pittsburgh. Yes, they were leading by 3-1 but it was just matter of time, when they will go down, because Pittsburgh put a lot of pressure on them. The problem with Detroit right now is that they have a lot of injured players. They are without their best goalie Howard and they called up Coreau, who played well yesterday. He is a big guy and y personal opinion is that he is quality goalie, but still he recieved 4 goals and they will probably go with Mrazek again tonight. So, the goalies are their first problem. Then they miss a lot of regular players (Franze, Helm, Bertuzzi, Abdelkader, Smith, Vitale, Marchenko, Athanasiou). So, this is pretty big problem here. They can play one good game, but i don't believe, that they can keep the same level all the time and especially if they play on back to back, which is their situation today. When you don?t have enough talent, you must play harder and you must give more than 120%. But if you played yesterday against strong Pittsburgh, where you gave those 120% it will be hard today. Detroit will be more tired for sure today. Islanders on other side will be fresh for this game and they started playing much better. They won 3 straight games and they even beat strong Washington in last game on the road by 3-0. That was a huge momentum game for them. They also have very good record against Detroit, because they beat them in 9 of last 13 meetings and 5 of last 7 meetings at home.

Detroit has a lot of injured players and they played yesterday. They lost 13 of last 16 games, when they had 0 days rest. They will be tired in this game and they will have to face Islanders, who are playing much much better right now. Islanders have good record against them and they ar playing much better right now. 3 straight wins and the last huge win in Washington. Detroit on other side has only 3 wins in last 10 games. No matter who will be in the net for Islanders and who will be in the net for Detroit, all combinations are fine for me. Islanders are the right call.
