It's late and I know Jack is out of town, but I'm going to post this anyways. I'm not going to name the book here because I'm not trying to blast anyone. I'm just wondering what you would expect if you were in my situation.

If you bet a prop asking "How many players will score for Philadelphia?", would you expect that the kicker would be included in the count? I bet Over 3 -160 on this prop. Three different players caught TD passes with Akers kicking the XP on all three. The prop was graded a push.

I checked the site's rules, and they have nothing addressing individual prop bets such as these. There was no stipulation in the prop section or attached to this prop that stated kickers would be excluded. Should I be given a win for this? I think so! Anybody know what the norm (or Vegas rule, or usual offshore rule is, if there is one) for this?

Jack, when you get back in town I'd like to email you the details.

When you bet a prop like that , I had the one will any team score 3 straight times and it said beside it pat's don't count so if they were not counting kicker it should of said to the side of prop pat's by kicker do not count , that does not seem right or even fair to me if it did not say that your bet should be a win, and anyone who puts props up like that out here has it right beside the prop or if it takes longer to explain rule will be written under the prop so there is no question for the player, then the book will list the next prop after it is spelled out. They don't put it in some small writting in rules some where it is listed right with that prop play, so you know what you playing. Sounds like bs to me if it was not off to the side stating a kicker does not count on a pat. You should get the wim. Also good post by not saying the book jack will help you out when he gets back you got a right to be upset and was good not to say name of book but was good to ask about props and the question you had.

Hope you get credit for the win because you should by the way you explained it all out.

Good luck with it let us know how it came out.

Eric

Thanks for your response Fletcher. I'm familiar with that "3 unanswered score" prop. Everywhere I saw that prop it stated x-pts and 2-pters did not count. But there was no stipulation like that on this particular prop...which is why I felt there was value in it.

gm, i know olympic had said only players scoring on fg's,td's and safeties count, not xp's. it should have stated that or you should be a winner. hope it helps.

I see your point...but I dont think any books would consider xp as part of that...they should be more specific and so xp's dont count...but i think they just assume people will know that....then again...you know what happens when you assume.

Well I took on some hefty juice to bet this, so I thought it was a given that the kicker DID count. Many other bets at this shop specified extra points and 2 pointers did not count...this bet did not have that stipulation. I did not expect Philly would have to have 4 TD's, scored by 4 different players, to win this... and on top of that have to risk -160 on it. (Or alternately 3 TD's / 3 diff. players + a FG). I mean the total for the game was only 47...and that right there is 28 (or 24), and Philly wasn't even the favorite. Why would the line be at -160 if xp's weren't assumed?

This was at least a smaller bet than I normally make. Still....

If it did not say it then you should have won that bet. I know that my book always puts the little stipulations and such on the card. Good luck!

IMO, GM, it should be a win. I, for one, would like to know which book it is, if for no other reason than to be on guard in the future.
A score is a score and with the over # that PHIL was getting, it seems like the K should count. Otherwise, like you said, PHIL would be expected to score at least 4 TD's for a win which would be out of line for both the posted PHIL over & the game over total of 47-48. And at -160 to boot ?? (pardon the pun) I would expect a win at -160. GL

i'd like to know as well. i just saw this.

*I* would assume that PAT's would not count as it's an *extra* point (almost a gimme) to a particular score but let me know and i'll check it out for you.

this could have been handled A LOT quicker had you emailed me while i was away because i still got my emails and replied to important ones. at least, ones i deemed important as in this case.

Why would you make a bet like that in the first place especially laying that kind of juice, you should have bet the philly team total of over 20- at -110. This way 3 touchdowns and extra points cover the bet no matter who scores them. I still think you should get paid because this is way out of line as the others had already suggested.

Hey guys,

The situation was resolved to my satisfaction. I argued with them for a while. I still feel the kicker should have counted. Certainly other people had to have bet that thinking the kicker was in play or the line would never have been @ -160. That and the fact they specifically mention on other props when the kicker does not count...I figured I had an argument. They couldn't quote me any specific rule for this situation...but still wouldn't budge. Annnnnyways...

We finally settled on them letting me have my bonus without having to roll the money over 5x. I was at about 2.5x at the time & really just wanted my money and to get out of there. I rarely bet anything but NFL and didn't want to have my cash sitting there til next season (or worse yet, be tempted to bet on something else to meet the requirement and losing). It was only a half unit bet so it really wasn't worth screaming about, and the bonus money works out to be about 75% of what I would have won on the prop. I'm happy to have the money and I don't think I'll be going back soon.

I thought this book was an advertiser here...maybe they were at one time, but not anymore? I was surprised after the fact to see they are not listed here. I probably wouldn't have even posted it here had I noticed they weren't buying ads here.

Anyways, case closed. Thanks guys.
