Here are a couple of adjustments to tody's write-up. I have read several interesting comments here and want to bring things up-to-date.

SAN FRANCISCO +3 -- is now a BEST BET. 49ers should win here convincingly. You may have to lay -120, but I still believe this is the best play on the board.

PROPS:

CLEVELAND -2.5 (FIRST HALF) -- Agree with the point made in another post that Browns will be on fire here at home coming off the Baltimore upset. It's a perfect roll-it-up situation for Cleveland, playing the hated cross-state rival.

JAX/BALT: FG WILL BE MISSED IN THE GAME (there must be an attempt) -140 -- In a game of field position between these division rivals, I expect several FG attempts. At least one should be missed. Jags' Hollis having a poor year.

BUFF/MIA: BILLS WILL SCORE FIRST +115 -- I predict Bills may win outright. Look for Buffalo to come out with a strong game plan and score first. Good value with +115.

NOR/NWE: THERE WILL BE A 300-YARD PASSER +280 -- Considering the quarterbacks, and types of offense, one of these two should throw for plenty of yardage. This play is based on a nearly 3-1 return on the investment. +280 is a gift.

NYG/OAK: FIRST SCORE WILL BE A NON-TOUCHDOWN +110 -- I predict a game of FGs. Look for one of these teams to take an early 3-0 lead.

Thanks as always for the writeups.

I'm having a hard time finding NYG/Oak at other than 39.5 (I'm with locals, not offshore right now) would you still recommend a play on that?

Also, I might get stuck with SF +2.5 -- probably keeps it from being a best bet, but still a play?

Thanks.

i especially like the missed fg in balt/jax, although i hate to lay the wood.

it took me a while also, from leaning to s.f. to comitting, but that should be one of the top picks for today.

are you suggesting a small buff m.l. play? if you like buff in this spot, it makes sense.

i am hoping one of these days you will come back with a rebuttal on "nolans picks/comments". that will make it more interesting for all.
