Jagr returns tonight but my guess is he sees limited action cuz he?s not 100%. Caps lose S.Konowalchuk as he had surgery yesterday and will be out for 3-4mths. Loss of Konowalchuk breaks up what is considered one of the best checking lines in the league in Konowalchuk, Halpern and Dahlen.
Jagr just signed extension to become highest paid player in NHL. IIRC, most athletes that sign enormous contracts usually don?t play that great at first. Jagr is supposed to play on 4th line and will see some time on powerplay, coach has said they will bring him back slowly.
Habs activate Gilmour tonight, sending Mike Ribero to the Quebec league to make room. Gilmour will play on 4th line with Kilger and Odjick, also getting some penalty killing and power play minutes according to coach Therrien. Probably 10-12 minutes tonight.
