That is enough to see him 22nd in the FedEx Cup standings and so the highest-ranked player in this field. With a top-15 finish last year when this course was first used, that makes him a likely contender for this title
List may be searching for his first PGA Tour win, but McDowell can count three including a Major and he form this year suggests that he should also be a strong contender for this event - his finishes read: 28th-13th-67th-14th-14th-28th. Power off the tee was more important than accuracy last year, which favours List and not McDowell, but McDowell has the experience as well as the form to compete in events such as this
