Well I think I've decided on Punta Cana for our 10 year aniv. Has anyone been there, if so where did you go and how was it? I'm looking at mainly adults only(looking at Hard Rock and it's not) and for sure all inclusive. I just don't want to mess with big bills at the end of our stay and with the way my wife and I drink there would be a big bill.

We went to Excellence in Punta Cana last year and by far the best AI resort we have been to and have been going for the last 12 years. Adult only and you choose from about 7 different restaurants for dinner. The beach is huge and the place was just perfect. You won't be disappointed with this place.

Morris, that might be the place we're going to. The pics don't seem to be very impressive but it gets great ratings.

If you go there make sure you find the Sports Bar. It is kind of hidden behind one of the pools. They have the coldest beer there along with sandwiches and ice cream.

Walk down the beach to "Walmart and Kmart" no shirt or shoes required...just 2 small shops with sand floors and nice guys.

I think it was a monday where they had ribs and chicken on the beach and they deliver pizza on the beach about 3-4pm some days.

I stayed at the Hard Rock when it was still being renovated and really liked it a lot. My wife and I are big all-inclusive fans, and we thought this was pretty nice. The thing we didn't care for is the size of the resort. It was a long walk to the beach and it was a long walk to the casino.

We stayed at the Excellence October 2010 and it was great. The grill down on the beach did have some great food and Presidente was a pretty good beer. No kids, casino didn't open until 4pm, and rooms were very nice. We did an excursion swimming with sting rays and snorkeling and I would say that was not worth the $90 a person it cost, as it was about 1.5 hours to travel each way because the excursions are on the other side of the island and they stop at each hotel to pick up other people but if you want to see a lot of the island than you defintiely will on this truck ride.

Excellence is the best by far and very reasonable. Hard Rock is rough. Food isn't that great and not the most accommodating staff.

wife and I stayed at Excellence for our honeymoon four years ago, and highly recommend it. No complaints at all from us (besides losing $ very quickly at their little rinky dink casino).
