Diagram it like this

G W E

A B C

ABC represent houses
GWE represent gas Water and Electric
Each house needs a Gas, water and electric line and none of the lines can cross.
I realize it will be hard to explain this in this forum but I think there is a certain trick to this, since Ive tried every which way and one of the lines HAS to cross. Im sure someone here knows....

Actually saw this back in grade school. Some puzzle section in some magazine had it. The answer was to follow in the next issue. We tried this thing for month until we got the stupid solution.

RUN ONE LINE THROUGH A HOUSE.

Boy we were pissed

I filled up an entire notebook tryin' that impossible thing, and I wasn't the only one. Those were the days, although I probably mess with it for a good long time nowadays too.:D

OK, thats freaking cheating to run a line through another house lol. I need numbers damnit. LOL I am glad Breakaleg posted the answer or else I would have been staring at this piece of paper for awhile longer.

I should have tried this puzzle BEFORE filling out that chick bracket tournament LOL I still cant see straight. :)

I'm going to have to try to dig up a good riddle/puzzle now.
