Take M. Waltrip over terry Labonte -115. In the first four superspeedway qualifiers this year. Labonte has not come within 11 spots of Waltrip.

Have to agree. Terry has not been going as fast last few big track races. They both have same make car so no advantage. It comes down to who will let it rip.

Ticker, you are correct. I must have had brain lock. I looked at the first four superspeedway races this year and the first three of last year, instead of last three. I still think it is a good bet. I went back and edited my post.

Thirty-four of the 63 NASCAR Winston Cup Series races at Talladega have been won from the first three starting positions (54 percent).

Neemer thay just added more to that number. 60% winners from first 4 spots. And 66% winners from first 9 spots. Does it mean anything for Sunday. Not realy. It's like the coin flip theory. 6 times heads in a row will it be 7. Or is a tails coming.
But I do thing we have to keep it in mind. At least when we look at match ups. Practice tomorrow should tell us a little more.

YOu fellas probably aren't gonna believe this, BUT Kyle Petty failed to qualify for the Talladega race... Crazy, huh?
