question about baseball prices

I like to play underdogs in baseball.

Of course, prices fluctuate from the minute the line comes out the day before....all the way leading up to the first pitch is thrown.

Do you notice when the BEST time to get the best prices on underdogs is? Like, are dog prices best when the line first comes out or right before the game begins? Or sometime in the middle?

Is there any typical rule of thumb about price fluctuation? Or do I have to be on the damn computer all day (impossible for me and just about everyone else) and catch the dogs at their zenith? (a guessing game anyway).

I would imagine that the public BANGS favorites right before gametime. IS this wrong?

Comments appreciated.

Thanks
