I always buy down when there is a hook on a key number. Just wondering what your thoughts are on buying down off 3 or 7?

I am a point buying addict, caught a lot of noise about it on here years ago. I still buy when I want to if the book will let me. Some shops won't allow the 3 to be moved in the NFL. I was on the phone with one tonight. That is OK, rules are rules and I can move my $, or add some elsewhere if I like. I digress.
Yes I almost always buy off of the three in football, (-2.5 or +3.5) I also hit the 7 usually to a 6 if laying points. OT's never kick the PAT. Crazy?, yep, maybe I am but it works for me. Add the hook on the 7 point and 10,12,13, 14 and 17 point dogs also.
I read a piece on this some time back and the 3 might have been the only profitable buy, of the bunch as I remember. But for me a push is like taking a mare in heat to stand for a gelding. You get a lot of action but no results! :scared
