Serious question about the Frosh Soph Game

I place a few bets on the game at Betroyal for the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th quarters. I also place an over bet on the first half as well as the game.
Come to find when the game started that the game was comprised of 2 20 minute halves. I called in immediately to get my bets cancelled and was told that most action would be cancelled.
Woke up this morning to the tune of losses on the 1st half over as well as the game over.
My problem is that I made the bets with the impression that I was betting 4 quarters, or 12 min each. The halves would have been 24 minutes and the game was 48 minutes.
In reality the halves were 20 minutes and the game was 4o minutes so I essentially lost 4 mins for the half bet and 8 mins for the game bet.
They will not refund the bets as they say that if I had one that I would have been paid.
Anyone think this is a major sham? And by the way shame on me for not knowing there were 2 halves, but when I log onto my book and see 4 quarters I make the assumption of 12 min quarters.
