I recently tried to transfer money from my certified checking account to my Neteller account?
They informed me that the have decided to discontinue tranfers from members that reside in the the State of Maryland.
Also would not process a credit card transfer.

Anyone else from other states having this problem??

Jack.You're from MD,,,any info??

Thanks
Garfield

fortunately, for me, i haven't had to send neteller any money, but i have heard they are not dealing with maryland banks for some reason.

i haven't had any problem getting them to send me checks via fedex and most of my transfers are from books to neteller then check to me.

sorry, that's all i know.

i'm still using neteller almost everyday but i haven't had to send them any funds.

Thanks Jack

I was trying to reload some accounts for football.
Last time I sent them money was during CBB.

Since thien I have been like you..getting the money to Neteller and a check from them.

If I find more out I'll post but I was mostly curious if MD was exclusive or are other states impacted.Usually this kind of thing is only the tip of the iceberg and does not bode well for us "degenerate" gamblers.

while browsing around, i found this;

Why has Maryland been shutt off of the service? Apparently the State of Maryland wanted Neteller to create a "local" platform of services within the geographical and legal jurisdiction of Maryland. They were tryin to create a tax on every transaction handled by Neteller. They had the legal grounds to fight this initiative, but the publicity the case would receive could have set a precedent for other states to try to do the same. So they simply shut them out. It was a business decision. Now, if the State of New York had the same intentions, THEN Neteller would use all of their resources to come up on top in the dispute. It has to do with ROI and liability. Shuttin down Maryland was a business decision.

That's good to hear that they are not targetting the gambling industry.

Will probably use Western Union from now on.
