Question about Turf........

s.a. has a special 6.5 turf course downhill, only right hand turn in usa most interesting.look for routers turning back sustained speed .or some own this course ,horse for course GLL.V.E.

just outta curiosity, how do they run this race? They just start on the backstretch and run to the wire back through turn one?
It can't be a very popular type of race, I've never seen it listed anywhere else BUT at S.A.
I think I'll have to take a look at some of the pp's for these races.
Maybe I'm missing out on something.

they start uphill,run downhill take right hand turn,jump dirt on main track then blast to wire. mostly a photo .great race got to see it:D

Dogfish is right on. This is a very popular race out here in SO Cal and they have been running it for decades. You can throw a blanket around 4 or 5 horses at the finish most of the time. During some years, the #1 post has been almost guaranteed of losing, but you need to check yearly stats. One thing that never changes from year to year is horse for course. That is perhaps the strongest move on this course.
