Bluegrass!
just make sure you clean that thing religously at least once a week. My follks had one in which they waited a few months to clean around Christmas time. With about 5 of my first cousins, my mom thought it would be a good idea if they all took a dip and sucked on some bloody marys. They all stayed in it for less than 30 minutes and when they got out, everyone one of them had this nasty red rash that covered nearly their entire body. It was flat out disgusting, and they all had to get a shot of some high powered antibiotic.

They had a cover for theirs and kept it on there at all times if they were not in it. That heated water becomes a breeding ground for some funky chit! Without the proper upkeep and maintanence, you'll more than likely be looking at a similiar situation. I had always assumed that the extremely high water temperature would kill most anything that tried to grow in the thing. Actually, it's the complete opposite. So either by yourself a head to toe wetsuit, or plan on cleaning the thing pretty regularly...

neemer, sounds like they didn't have the ozone feature and/or didn't treat the water with the chemicals. from what i understand, it's damn near like a pool with chemicals and whatnot. i'll be sure to follow all directions so that chit doesn't happen here. maybe i should start off with a smaller, less expensive one to make sure the wife is gonna use the damn thing. if it was up to me i could do without it, but she insists we have one for the new home.

Ozone is a must-- I have had a hot tub for 10 yrs and the Ozone feature means you use about 1/2 the chemicals and the water is always clear.

I would stay with a major brand that parts will be available 10 yrs from now.My ozone machine went out and it they didnt make an eaxct replacement --so I had to buy an aftermarket ozone.

many stores have them set up so you can try them.. not a bad idea.

My brother owns a hot springs w/ ozone and loves it.
