One of my better friends has a son that was apparently really good in our small state of Arkansas. He is 20 and his name is Thomas Roberts. Below is all I know about where he now plays. Can someone dumb this down for me and maybe compare this to baseball or FB on what level this is? Like A or AA baseball minors? Just ignorant with the sport but love to follow all you guys.

Thomas Roberts is an American professional soccer player who plays for Austrian Bundesliga club Austria Klagenfurt, on loan from FC Dallas.

With there being a billion pro soccer leagues on Earth, it is tough to try to compare it to say pro baseball or pro football.

But with that said, I'd put the Austrian Bundesliga at say a Triple A baseball level. Or for those familiar with NCAA DI Football, I'd put the Austrian Bundesliga at the level of say the Sun Belt or perhaps the Mountain West Conference.

Again, it is extremely difficult to rank pro soccer leagues, because there are so many of them.

Hope that helps:0008

Of all the pro soccer leagues in the world, I'd put the Austrian Bundesliga in the 11th-15th range.

Safe to say he is making some pretty good coin?
Thanks for the reply.

They have him as the 314th most valuable player from the USA while 23,859th most valuable player in the world.

Obvi take all of it with grain of salt but they have him as the 20th best American born in 2001. This site generally does a good job given the impossible nature of slapping a value on every soccer player on earth lol
