QUESTION just to be sure about Car battery thats only 1 yr old

heres the problem yesterday afternoon fucker wouldnt start got a quick jump from neighbor again all day and working delivering 1st day at new place car was fine .

IT's not daily only occurs once in a while ......i'm assuming like 95% positive this NEW battery has a bad cell ......

NOT a parasitic drain which is some circuit somewhere draws 1 or more amps when car is off because that would cause this problem daily as i already saw on you tube.

SO someone tell me just go back to place where i bought this NEW 6 yr battery from and get a NEW one .

Alternator works fine puts out 12.7 volts plus the amps I know if it was alternator i wouldnt drive 1 hr even i day time been there dozens of times over the decades of owning used cars.

assuming you had no charging system warning light come on at any time recently....even so, still could be alternator, voltage regulator (they can have intermittent issues) cable and/or ground connections, slipping belt...

to properly test the alternator amperage, you have to do a full load output test. Not just a simple inline amp test with engine running. That only shows alternator is keeping up with minimum asked of it. And that assuming the problem isn't intermittent...

Good chance it is the fairly new battery. Take it back. If it a real shop, they can test the battery easy, but you might have to wait for them to charge it - you can't properly test a (even little bit) discharged battery. From that point, they can test everything else, if need be....test first, then you have good change of replacing only defective parts!

most places would replace for free a bad 1 year battery. Some might try to do pro-rated charge. Some might demand the original receipt. Tip for future: always take a picture of receipt with your phone, then email yourself the receipt with key words "car battery receipt". Then 1, 2, 3 years down the line, you can bring that receipt up with a simple 30 second key word search of your emails.

A parasitic drain would only be predictable daily occurrence if you drive the same way every day, and drain was just enough to cause a "no start" condition. If you, for example, left your Sirius XM radio on overnight and then drove 50 miles next day (1 night not enuf to cause a "no start"), no problem, you driving far enough to recharge the drain. But left it on overnight every night, then just drove 20 miles for 5 days, you would probably need a jump on the 4th or 5th day, due to this parasitic drain and not driving enough each day to recharge - enuf drains, with inadequate charges by that point causes a "no start".

one thing im not sure of having the receipt because i bought the battery at local junk yards that seell these batteries only $55 with your old one.

BUT MY guy who took me there they know him well.

tHESE batteries are named terminal post or Mines is batterry post kind of like a Brand X new battery

the design is same on all lables they are all black n yellow lables.

I should not have any problems getting a new replacemnt maybe small fee like $10 for 14 month usage


this has been going on for 6 months now just weird that radio on in power key position for a 1/2 hr drains it that car will not start.

I'm postitive this battery has a bad cell ....


Funny thing now is started up fine yesterday ran couple of errands and parked if today the fuck don't start yes wait just like 1st time the old battery original would not start after jump start because it was orginal 5 yr old batterry

ahhhhhhhhhhhh light bulb goes off same exact problems as with old batterry

Who gives a 6 year warranty on a battery

When the car start,you Alternator should be 14.2 volt or higher.anything below that ,your alternator is shot/good luck
