I made a horse racing bet this morning at Pinnacle. It was a "matchup" bet between two horses in one race. The two horses finished with the exact same time of 1.42.10. I'm not much of a horses gambler, so I was surprised when they graded my wager as a LOSS. Should this not be a tie or a push? I looked in their rules and cannot find anything that suggests why I should lose this bet. I e mailed them a few minutes ago and I'm still waiting for a response - they are usualy VERY good at returning e mails promptly, so we'll see. Anybody know why this would be considered a loss if the two horses tied right down to a hundredth of a second? Do they still use a photo to determine an actual finishing order even if the times are the same? I'll let you know what they said when I hear. Thanks.

I got my answer in about 45 minutes

As I thought, the finishing results are determined by the photo and not by time. Even though my horse finished with the same time as his competitor, my horse finished 1/4 of a "length" behind in the photo. Oh well - you live and you learn.
