If Tex & Det match-up for the AL Pennant then who gets home field? I believe that the Tig's do as they should be a higher seed having won the division...I know they have the worse record but they still get the higher placement, don't they?

I don't trust my memory and a few googletrons fed me meticulously meaningless mumbles as opposed to sought answer.

It would make a difference on Pennant future considerations as I think the Yanks would be in a dogfight with the Rangers (O's too, maybe--lotsa aging defense which should be busy facing either wild-card advancor). Det would visit Yanks but might host Tex or Balt for a Pennant series unless I am transcending misconstured.

CLEEEEAR!!
Detroit does. Wild Card is automatically the lowest seed throughout the Division Series and ALCS, regardless of record.
