When placing bets for soccer and it offers ML values if a game was to end in 90 mins of regulation with a tie should that game be graded winner, loser, or tie? And do your have to play draw in order to be graded a winner, also would both sides picked be graded as losers? For instance I believe Croatia-Turkey ended 0-0 at the end of 90mins plus injury time then went to OT to deicde the winner where they also needed penalty kicks to decide a winner.....I placed a ML bet of -120 for a few dollars on Croatia and should I have been cancelled or should that have been graded a loss due to the fact that I didnt select draw but I decided on a side. I FEEL as though it should have been graded as a push or cancelled but my (local) book charged me for the wager..before ripping these guys I wanted to be SURE I was in the right, I could post the "rules" they list in the soccer betting section they are as follows:

Soccer kickoff dates & times displayed on our website are an indication only and are not guaranteed to be correct.
ANY PAST POST ACTION WILL NOT BE HONORED.
All soccer wagers are graded after 90 minutes of regulation play (plus injury time), unless otherwise specified.
When wagering on a soccer money line, the DRAW is paid if the match is tied after 90 minutes of regulation (plus injury time) Extra Time and Penalty Kicks do not count

my second question would be is this standard procedures? I have noticed they have done a few things differently mid-way through a season and dont mind paying my losses but if I am being ripped off, this pick up date for balancing out may not be so "friendly"......example i was betting 1st 5 innings in bases, along with 6 tm parlays.......was making and cashing wagers for the 1st 5 innings as the BP is never included and I like that fact, after making a few good dollars I noticed just this past week NO MORE 1st 5 INNING LINES were being posted, along with only allowing 2-5 tm parlays as well( I hit a 6 tm parlay--lucky lucky---that paid very well with a few dogs and favorites in bases) if I am being shafted ON THE SOCCER RULES this is the 3rd strike and I will no longer use this guy, along with giving him what I FEEL I OWE vs what his site is scamming me for. If the ruling is legit I will pay in full then take my business elsewhere, either way I PERSONALLY will no longer use this book, as I feel once a wager or type of wager is being offered they have NO RIGHT to withdraw or not offer that wager once it gets tagged for a few dollars...its hard enough to make money doing this stuff, but taking ANY and EVERY advantage I find will not earn my money no longer. Thanks for any and all input and I am only looing to CLEAR THIS SOCCER RULE wager grading up, not run away from any wagers I may have lost......:SIB

Sorry jzj, nothing fishy here. In soccer when you bet the ML, the result is the one after 90 minutes of regulation which can be home, tie/draw or guest. So you are placing a 3way bet and have to choose one of those options. You lose the bet when one of the two other outcomes occurs.

Over/Under betting is also graded according to regulation, disregarding overtime and penalty shootouts.

If you place an (asian) handicap wager like pk, -0.5, +1.5 and so on, and after applying the handicap the adjusted result is a tie/draw, then this is graded as a push in soccer.

OK, glad to know I wasnt being jerked around....thanks for the response RB...BOL in the Euro the rest of the way......if you dont mind...today I LOVED RUSSIA and told my buddy to play them I was peaved at the Croatia game but you've settled that glitch in the gut, so what was the WINNING wager for Russia-Netherlands today? I would guess DRAW since the 90 mins ended deadlocked? It seems awful hard to cap a tied game and cash it, thus what is the better plays when playing soccer In Your Opinion, the pk,-.5 or other versus the ML sides.....and is there ANY wager that includes the OT periods because it seems that a tied game will make tons for the books then just decide the games in OT periods as has been done mostly this weekend, I cant imagine many bettors are placing DRAW wagers when the teams seem to be a mismatch.....thanks in advance

Sorry I understand what you posted now, and I have it understood to AVOID losing a DRAW game after REG, placing a wager on the SPREAD versus ML is the way to go, although if the SPREAD used has the sides tied due to a PK then the game will be tied and cancel the wager, if the SPREAD forces a winner or loser due to the .5 or 1.5 levied it will be graded a loss or just the same for a team getting points in the spread.

NOTE TO SELF-ONLY WAGER SPREADS not ML in Soccer, I can be satisfied losing vs the spread but losing a draw game SUX......shameful thing is I could have gotten that specific Croatia game as a PK but not understanding the rulings cost me. Thanks for clearing that up and I got what I deserved due to not asking before I placed the bet. Again BOL

Exactly.

Essentially a -0.5 (fav) bet is like picking a side on the ML. You will lose the bet in case of a draw or the other side wins. If you pick -1 or higher handicaps the side you picked has to win by 2 goals or more to win the bet.

So if you think a team will rip the other one apart take those -1 and higher handicaps, they will of course offer better odds than the unhandicapped ML. If you feel confident in the underdog, stick to the +X.Y handicaps, they will transform a 3way outcome into a 2way bet.

ML draws and dogs are somewhat "expert" gambles. A draw bet on the ML is an option during the regular season or late in the group phase. When two teams high up in the standings meet each other for example and can afford to tie without any consequences. They both get a point which is worse than 3 points of course but better than nothing and in best case can put them out of reach of the remaining teams. They always say theyre in it to win it. But latest after minute 70 see them settle into a cozy draw lovefest where they keep the ball in midfield until the clock runs out.

ML dogs are tough, especially when the draw is a possible outcome too. I recommend only playing ML dogs of around +400 and higher when you feel confident in a surprise win. Otherwise stick to the +X.Y handicaps.

My first betting endeavours were 3way soccer bets back in the days. For obvious reasons i gladly embraced US spread betting and later turned into a (2way) dog or even money or better fan. Your bankroll will not skyrocket but continously grow in the long run.

if you bet with your local, make sure thsi is cleared up. My local for example grades plays based on 90mins+ extra time if any. If you have the under, it may screw you, if you have the over it may help. With a ML play, it could go either way. Cost me in some games, helped in others.

Thanks for taking the time to read this fellas, I feel ok with the fact that I loss and I understand why now.

Dr.SL the rules above in post one are from the site right over top of the teams about to be wagered so I feel confident that extra time and penalty kicks wont affect either wager o/u or side. Again thanks for helping me understand and hopefully we ALL can get back to winning in soccer and all sports wagered
