At 5dimes on some of their futures they say that "dead heat rules apply" but can't find explanation. I think I know what this means but can somebody explain it in simple terms for us that do not know for sure ? Also there is a categorry of bets called tournament handicap, in which golfers have a plus stroke next to their names. Olazabel is +7, so would you subtract 7 strokes from his total score and see if he is the winner with this handicap? Thanks for any help. By the way, is there anybody here who plays the handicap futures?

By dead heat rules, the payout is divided by the number of tied winners. So if two people finish joint winners and you backed one of them, then you get paid the full odds but only on half your stake.

Yes, the +7 should read minus seven shots. I think they do explain this in their individual sports rules. I don't know if anyone plays this market - I know DTB did for one week - as you need to cap everyone in the market rather than find someone who will win the event or finish top-5.
