i get internet access on my mobile phone and was wondering if their is a way to rout that signal to my netbook. one guy at staples said yes with a bluetooth adapter, but someone else at another store said no, bluetooth is only good at transfering pictures and files. can it be done or no.
thanks
david

With an iPhone, you can jailbreak your phone to do this via the USB plug. I don't recommend doing this, but it works well if you don't mind cancelling your warranty.

I don't know about any of the other phones.

Yep, you can if you have the cable to go between your phone and notebook. You may need to download some software from your phone carrier, your notebook will then pick up your phone as a modem or network device.

I have Sprint and I do it all the time. I've done it with a PPC6700, treo and now with my HTC Hero. I've used both usb and bluetooth. Really depends on your service and more importantly what phone you have. I know on my treo I had to download tethering software to make it work.
