If the Arizona Cardinals happened to be on Philadelphia's home schedule, I'll take the 14 and be covering by halftime. The AZ Cards do not have the ownership support to field a competitive team. I understand, despite the Cards obvious need for defense, the theory behind Coach McGinnis' "let?s draft offense." Jake Plummer is a huge liability to the team, both offensively and financially. So, if McGinnis drafts offense, he can say he?s protecting Plummer, while in reality he?s just drafting for the post-Plummer era. After Jake, armed with his new offensive line, goes in the dumper, it will be easier (for any other owner, a no-brainer) for McGinnis to convince the Bidwells to move on. The Cardinals do not have the offensive talent to put points on the board, nor do they have the defense to keep points off it.

Philadelphia has blown out their last 2 opponents by 24 and 22 points while the Cardinals, who lost their last two by 21 and 20 --both at home -- appear to be every bit as bad, if not worse, so why not???
