Can hear a pin drop in here tonight. I'm guessing that wouldn't be the case if the spurs won.

We'd probably have 13 threads ripping on lebron and the big 3. Just saying.

Nope I just wasn't around Jord :p. Like I said in ed's thread... not only Lebron needed to show up, the others needed to as well. and Wade showed up BIGGG TIME. That is major props to them. Both of them combined for 60+ points. I give them mad props for doing what they did tonight.

Now Jord- go read ur own thread wherein u answered me that Wade was dead.......u won playing the public favorite defending nba champs.!! No wonder tfreash pissed u off so much, u r doing the same thing he did, rubbing all the san Anton losing betters by telling em to b quiet, underlining that u were the winner and were right all along. U r playing the favorite, its not an upset.act like uve been right before, don't rub the losers and crow about how u were right.as for James, he's a nice fellow with a great body.mentally he's not very tough and afterthis series and these playoff ill just laugh when iI hear the Jordan comparisons...if u saw both of their carreers Ud know for certain that there is no comparison.the heat will likely lose game five at the pick.I hope they have to win both in Miami to earn their championship, we will see.

Actually brother man JORD...I was given a 2 day vacation by IE. So I wasn't able to post for game 4.
You did clear some units only because of your 2H bet of 10 units and your very shrewd bet of -5.5. Congrats. Parker did not score 2H it was obvious his hammy was bothering him. The 2 day break did me some good actually. Not looking to get into piss matches with posters here just looking for info on both sides to make smart betting decisions. I wish you only the best of luck. I made only one bet last night at 1/2 time I took SA +.5 @ + money in the first 3 mins of the 3Q. My heart couldn't bet against the Heat in that spot. Lets all move on to game 5. It is the pivotal game in this 2013 NBA FINALS.

Hold up!!!

TFresh NEVER pissed me off. Unlike most on here... I like TFresh and have never ever had a problem with him.

I figured some would take this thread as such, so i probably should have clarified...

This thread had NOTHING to do with my wagers or me being "right." Nothing.

My point was beyond betting... it was all the hate for Lebron that annoys me. I just don't understand how people can have such disdain for people they don't know who play a game for a living. I was only pointing out how much shit he gets when things don't go right, and when things do go right, not a peep... as if it's just expected.

As far as MJ... I don't why you keep bringing that up. I NEVER made a comparison. I think all that talk is worthless. I don't care at all about that. IF i saw their careers?? I had season tickets to Bulls growing up, so i saw all of MJ.

Been here before?? Again, nothing to do with my Heat call or others bets. NOthing.

Sounds like you are starting a pissing match for no reason. I was in about 3 people's threads congratulating them after Spurs wins. I'm sorry if my thread came off as rubbing it in. It was not..

Again, strictly aimed at the non-betting Lebron and Heat hate.

Last I checked, you get paid the same amount $$ whether you bet the favorite or the underdog. That's how it works where I am from at least.

I know there is a huge fascination with being the opposite of the public or square

Hate is a strong word. A few things.

Ever since the pyrotechnic pep rally with the Big 3 they have been ripe for criticism. Just because Chris Bosh has one great game in a month doesn't cement his place on the Mount Rushmore of NBA achievement. You know who else has had a great game in the past month. Lance Stephenson.

Just because LeBron's 'Decision' made him the biggest attention whore in sports since Reggie Jackson's act in the Bronx in the 70's doesn't mean I hate him personally. Still, there are athletes that I hope do well and some that I hope do not. My right without justification.

By the way I LOVE Holly Sonders on the Golf Channel. If you are watching Morning Drive right now you may know why. Or maybe not. Depends on your taste in women. But that doesn't mean that I actually 'love' her. Well wait, I actually may.....

 Bad example.

If Rory shoots 65-66 this weekend and wins at Merion (hope so for my future) he is not the greatest ever. If Tiger does (hope so for my other future) he will be much closer but not the greatest ever. Jack Nicklaus isn't playing today.

Jord, you don't say that but the hype machine of the media does. If people 'hate' they have their reasons. Just because someone criticizes a player on a team that someone else bets doesn't mean they are happy that the bettor lost.

I have the Spurs +210 for the series and fully expect this to go 7. If I feel I need to hedge at that point I will. If the Heat win the next two, well, Ob-la-di Ob-la-da.

Good luck buddy.

:toast:

Now back to Holly Sonders.

Lebron James is the best player in basketball right now hands down. The Heat are more than likely going to prove they are the best team this year. With that said, it doesn't mean we can't make observations or critiques about them. Just because you say player A is lacking in some part of his game doesn't make you a "hater." If you say they Heat are not a good rebounding team, it doesn't mean you think they suck. The comparisons with Jordan are what we do as sports fans. We sit around and mindless babble about comparisons that can never be settled and mean absolutely nothing.

Whatever. I never said you couldn't say anything. I'm not going to go back and forth.

My original statement in this thread remains true and my point.

Jord, isn't it the same thing as people disliking other people on an internet forum whom they have never met? You read and see what they say, but do not really know who that person is. You say most people piss you off on the site. But do you really know them?

I don't like plenty of pro athletes. Just tryin to provide some perspective is all. I understand your intentions and know you were not intending to celebrate your win at the expense of others.

Now, I love lebron personally, but I can absolutley see why a lot of fans root against this heat team. They put that target on their back as soon as they had a pep rally and decided to take their talents to south beach via a live TV conference.

Btw, did you play in the main event again?

Gl going forward jord

I don't think it's the same thing. And I don't want them to lose. And they don't piss me off.

I'm going out to Las Vegas July 7th for the main.

If anyone wants to grab a drink or play some cards

It's a best of 3 series, now, Jord!

Still one left in SA!! Me thinks Spurs come back big time tomorrow and they are dogs once again.

I'm going to ride the money line series play on the Spurs at +175.

GL!!

Same thinking here but I'm talking myself into a game 5 play. The Heat haven't been able to put two good efforts together since May.
