Class act and truly a golf fan favourite. I had the pleasure to meet him once and what I read and heard about him was true, it was sad that he couldn't hit his ceremonial first drive at Augusta this year.

RIP Arnie

Arnold Palmer a perfect example on how to handle fame & fortune. I worked at a men's clothing store & he was introducing his new line of sport coats back in the late 60's, after the showing my boss introduced me & he was interested what I thought about his new line. I was only 21 yrs. old & he made me feel kinda special, especially when he was surrounded by all the big time buyers & owners. RIP Mr. Palmer !

Had the pleasure of meeting him at Bay Hill. We had a group of 12 and he came out of the clubhouse while we were on the practice green and shook every one of our hands, then asked could he tee off in front of us since he had a 2 some. Shoot man,you own the place.A truly great character man. RIP.

had the pleasure of being around him 3 times and he was truly a gentleman. he had so much charisma and made you feel like a long lost friend just as soon as you met him. Have seen him sign autographs for over an hour after finishing a round in a tourney whether he played good or bad he was always smiling.

will be missed
