Anything else new around here?
Haven't played a thing (with four legs attached to it, that is) since Philly went on their super long vacation this year. Looking forward to the day they return in the second week of Feb; I think that's when they return. That extra long vacation thems took may be a bad omen and it wouldn't surprise me if we/me sees a nice picture of "PARX" with a big "FOR SALE " sign on their front door the next time we/me visits their website. Even with a Triple Crown winner ... hoss wacin is a dying game these days
Greedy bastards are killing more than just hoss wacin... run them 364 days a year, up north and down south, (Calder even gave Christmas Day a try for several seasons :facepalm: ), OTBs, a ton of exotic bets on the menu, etc. etc. Other sports added teams, longer seasons, 4 out of 7 used to JUST BE RESERVED FOR THE WORLD SERIES in baseball.. now it applies for playoff games as well. Similar situation for footballers too. They just couldn't get enough and sucked the well dry.
