Well the market has had another good week. little worried as the economy still seems weak.

AC Air Canada. Well the company came out this week and announced the shares are worthless the stock still managed to trade for over a $1. now at .82, some of the strength is short covering, but most is probably retail investors trying to make a quick trade. buy it for .90 sell for $1. also many investors believe that the equity will not go to zero. they will hold until it is worthless.

two year ago in the predictions thread predicted it would go to zero, however last year it looked like they would try to spin off some parts of the airline. Still headed for zero should have never bought over Cdn. Airlines in 1999 and let it go bankrupt.

owned in twice on the long side last time being in 1999. and have shorted the stock, difficult to do now though.

Cavell TSX first mentioned this stock when it was around $1.42, this week it hit an all time high of $2.82 (.77-$2.82)

wanted to buy more but thought it was fully valued over $2.40 :( the stock has great properties in Saskatchewan. also many juniors and mid caps have gone on a run, due to higher oil/gas prices and the chance of takeovers...... more midcaps are turning themselves into income trusts.

stop on 75% of my position is set at $2.40.
will look at the Juniors oil/gas producers and buy some if there is a pullback.

US bonds are over priced,

thanks

just an update on KVL, got stopped out at $2.40.

as KVL drifted lower below $2, began to buy back a position at prices between $1.80-$1.86.

the stock last week was trading in the $1.80-$1.90 range. anyways today announced Parmount Energy trust announced they are taking KVL over for $2.40.

The deal is worth $148 million of which 98 million will be cash the rest trust units. will try to get most of the deal for myself in cash. Parmount energy is a decent trust but have enough other oil/gas trusts already.

KVL is 70% natural gas and have some great properties in Saskatchewan and Alberta.

Parmount Trust got a good deal especially if current oil/gas prices hold.

will list some other junior oil and gas stocks that I own, trade, follow next week.

nice gain.
note: these are higher risks not all work out, CLL lost me over 30% on the stock.

however sometimes you can get lucky.... :)

thanks
