I doubt McFadden will get to you. 11th is the position I drafted from in our 1st league with the guys on here and I selected Julio Jones with my first pick as I am in a PPR league and I would do it again regardless of the league as I would rather have him or Andre Johnson and get my RB at 14. The reason being is that I knew that the 14th pick would solve the exact same issue you have. In your league however, a non ppr league my pick would be stafford and then jones depending on td point values and yardage bonuses. Stafford is more expensive than Matty Ryan but the whole world is overpaying for Ryan now taking him in the third or fourth.

Being that you are not in a ppr league your draft board should be touchdown loaded with number one starters, which means Trent Richardson and Ryan Mathews take precedence over Forte, SJax and others. They are the clear cut number ones on their teams and will get all goal line carries as will Cedric Benson and the Law Firm. Take a very hard look at Martin in the fourth as well. My draft would look something like this if I were in your position.
Stafford
Jones
A.J. Green
Doug Martin
BJGE
etc

I think you will benefit more from receivers than you will from an overrated watered down running back class.

My league is 6 pts for TD's and 1 pt. for every 10 yds rushing or receiving.

I would love Stafford as #1 for me but I doubt he drops. The only QB's I'd take before RB's are Rodgers, Brady, Brees, or Stafford. The second tier QB's will be around in the 3rd.

What do you guys think about Sproles. He could be a monster with receiving and rushing yds added. Last year NO had too many RB's getting touches. I had the rookie...

in a standard league there is a dropoff with Sprolles..you can compare on the toolbox site.

he is a quality back in either format.

I would warn you that Cam is not likely to be around in Round 3 of standard draft and by Round 3 conclusion you may see Ryan Eli and Vick taken.

lotta gurus talking the value of widereceiver and qb and the waning importance of rb in either format..especially flex with TE as an option.

Peyton rises in the ranks as well.

good luck..

look forward to your contribtions in the new and improved..

Sproles is a monster in ppr but truly average as compared to other backs. Keep in mind that Fred Jackson is a top tier running back in non ppr leagues for sure. He was number four in total yards last year prior to injury and number on in yards after contact in the NFl. He is a vastly overlooked back. The guy is a standard TD league stud. Stafford should get close to you, if not I would take McFadden or a Receiver and my choice would still be Jones. I also have Schaub rated very high as he is a yardage machine.

Contrary to what most think, WR is the thinnest position in the draft. After the 7th or 8th round there is nothing left except some reaches. You can win with Peyton Hillis or Donald Brown as both will get eight to ten tds this year as will Benson and soooo many other backs available all the way to the end of the draft. Unless you get a true number one back that is the offensive monster of that team......Richardson..................get the best players available.
