i never thought much of the guy until i actually watched him play a few times...he`s a legit elite slot receiver with a knack for getting open and the potential to have double digit catch games.....

i know there are loads of welker haters in here, but, imagine how much welker meant to brady over the years....i think flacco would fall in love with a quick, savvy little receiver still in his 20`s like amendola.....i know about his injury issues but i honestly believe the fact that he was the main threat on a basically receiverless team contributed to his injury issues...he was the constant focus of opposing secondaries in st lou......that wouldn`t be the case in baltimore.....

dammit ozzie,we`ve lost several people who represented big salary concerns(ellerbe/boldin/kruger).....give joe that safety net guy....

I too trust whatever Newsome does as his track record demands that respect. Cleveland will soon find out why Balt didn't make a big effort to resign Kruger.

I think you could put quite a few receivers in the Welker spot in NE's offense and they would be equally productive...I believe that is exactly what the Patriots think too. Even a minimally talented received like Brandon Lloyd had a decent year there.

I'm not as big a fan as Amendola as you but, if he will sign for a reasonable amount of money I could see some team picking him up but, I'm not sure he is going to fill the slot or whereever else Boldin lined up.

The best free agent match to team out there would be Reggie Bush to the Lions...that would be very difficult to defend although the Lions still need a #2 receiver.

Amendola has a collar bone made out of Glass Joe's chin

he`s a slot flea,no doubt....but a damned good one ...people don`t realize that the guy was overused in st louis(he led the league in all-purpose yardage in 2010-2011......that`s quite a few touches in the return game for a guy that size....wouldn`t be an issue in b`more)...the question is,is he broken or just beaten up and over-utilized......

if i had the money,i might take a shot...he`s getting help in baltimore(torrey smith/dennis pitta/jacoby jones/ray rice).......he won`t be a focal point for defenses anymore.....and with the speed(jones and smith) and size(jones and pitta) the slot would be a great fit.....we could use the added quickness...what he did(while healthy) in st louis was impressive...

but it won`t happen...too many other teams covet the guy...

good article on philly and chip kelly wanting amendola ....and why
