I like the Ravens, but I don't know, I think I'm gonna take tomarrow night off and focus on college football for next week! Who knows, I'll wake up tomarrow and play the Ravens!

I am 12-1 on sunday. This is my first post because I just signed up. Take Baltimore for 3 units. Tease Baltimore +4 and the over/under 30 and go over. 2 units on that. 16-3 for the weekend. Put it all on new Mexico on Sat. Baltimore all the way and bet now so the spread doesn't go up. Tennesse has a lot of players injured. Their defense is banged up (hence the over). Let me know what you all think

I dont go against a div home dog. However the linemaker the last couple of weeks seems to have caught up on the Div Home Dog.
All underdogs have been cut back. Very few games are over 6 points anymore. This weekend only STL was over 6 points at openning (and of course that was expected). I was expecting BAL to be a -4 favorite. Underdogs just arent getting the points anymore.

I have to echo most everybody else and say that I am staying away. Got bit in the butt last night with Oakland. Had them on the moneyline. Oh well, had a good weekend overall so I can't bitch to much!

i brought up this point in the other forum:

the races are so competitive, that home dogs (mainly in the running) should be a pickem or so, which is mol what this game is. only due to the fact that these lines reflect anticipated betting, they must still show as dogs.

the line set for this game is correct in that sense, even if some of us may think it should be balt -5 or whatever.

i personally see no reason to play this game other than just looking for action. can't justify it either way. a small bet on the over, just for the hell of it.

One angle I am going to try the rest of this season and TRY to remember next season:
I have not followed it as close as I will, but we seemed to have a good stretch of dog covers (a few weeks) between weeks 4-8. This really affected the lines this weekend as the points were way down. There was some great bargains in the favorite ranks (I had a great day with NE and DEN).
A couple of weeks of either fav or dog affects the linemaker. I expect this week to be another good fav week, and then the lines should move up again.
This is not an "all inclusive" system, but it is good for bargain hunting depending on whether the fav or dog picks are "in vogue".
