Will do the Ravens thread again this year since I still watch almost every game with my Dad.

Jack had his preseason GOY on them to keep the streak alive, but I think the streak ends tomorrow:

Redskins +1

You are not going to see many Ravens starters at all in this game. They have serious CB concerns and will be playing only 2 QBs both of which who likely will not be on the roster. All streaks end and I have a feeling this is where the Ravens preseason one ends.

Just for fun play because I think you have to be out of your mind to seriously bet preseason!!

Ravens Ov 42 -134

On paper the Ravens should handle the Texans with ease. They dominate rookie QBS at home and have never lost as a dd favorite at home. However, I will never lay 10 with the Ravens. They tend to play to the level of their competition. Most of the key players did not play a snap in the preseason and I always think that has an affect on the first game. As much as I hate preseason football, I do think it is important for everyone to get some snaps. The Ravens offense should be strong though. They are going to be a very difficult team to defend. If they protect Jackson, I think this team will put up a lot of points this year. The weak spot for this team right now is at CB and pass rush. With Humphrey out they have some weakness at DB and the young pass rushers have a lot to prove. They like Ojabo but he did not look very good in the pre season which led to them signing Clowney. It is going to be hard for them to blitz a lot to get pressure on the QB with the CBs they have for this game. As such, I think Houston will get some points off of big plays that will send this game over the total. I see a 31-17 type game.

Bonus Play:

Steelers +3 -128
Steelers -3 +163

I like the Steelers in this spot. They played starters in the preseason and will be ready for this game. I am not 100% sold on Purdy. I like the Steelers defense and I think Pickett is better than people think. I think this is a strong home dog and do not think the 49ers should be favored. +3 is the primary play, but I will take a shot with the alternative line (likely parlay with the Ravens Over also).

That sucked. I grossly underestimated how ill prepared almost all these teams were to play. The FH play was just terrible. NFL needs to figure out a way to have these teams be better prepared to play Week 1. I think it was glaring how bad the play the was in the 1:00 games.

I do not think Cincy could play any worse than they did, so:

Cincy -3 -120

Jackson was not good at all for the Ravens last week as he was not prepared to play. They will get better but if Stanley and Lindebaum are out they have serious OL issues. Dobbins going down is not good, but not that big of a deal since he is never healthy anyway. Houston was the perfect first game for them last week but this does not set up well for them this week.

Call me a sucker, but I am on:

Pitt +3 -128

19 straight home game wins against Cleveland and 20 straight home MNF wins and now you make them a home dog based on LW games. This game should be a pick at best. I will bite.
