Another rich and famous sports athlete can spit in the face of society and buy the system. RB Jamal Lewis would NEVER EVER agree to any deal unless he was as guitly as sin, especially so early in the case. Its is disgusting that we pay so much money to view these people, buy their gear, and cheer for them. Then they do whatever they want.
This case is much worse than the players that have gotten extra driver's license from other states after being arrested for DUI.
These people are a scourge and a terrible example to ALL fans.
The NFL needs to tremendously increase the penalties to players that break the rules, even if they plea-bargain their way out.

............... a report in The (Baltimore) Sun on Saturday that said a deal had been reached.
Lewis attorney Jerome Froelich and acting U.S. Attorney Sally Yates declined to comment.
Last week, Froelich said he was preparing for trial. But in recent days, talks have apparently intensified as Lewis' defense team has sought to avoid a suspension by the NFL and a trial that could lead to a mandatory minimum 10-year prison sentence if Lewis is convicted of conspiracy.
