2 weeks ago I ran a red light and today I get a 75.00 ticket, wtf...fucking red light camera, anyone else live in a hellhole like Houston that has these cash cows? I would fight it, but the police as going to people's houses and arresting them for unpaid red light tickets. kurby :cursin: :mj08:

On a lighter note, I got two speeding tickets from these cameras. I was speeding in an Acura years ago and saw a flash in my rear view mirror. Unfortunately, that was the second ticket. The day before I didn't see the flash.

Yeah, it's crazy. Imagine that measures are taken to penalize douchebags like you that self-admittedly race through red lights in your suv. All in the name of safety. Fucked up world that we live in.

Not to be an asshole here, but running a red light is a pretty serious thing. I know how pissed I get when people speed through expiring yellow lights, let alone go through a red one. It's just plain dangerous, and it's really a pretty simple law. I dunno, I don't know the situation you were in. Guessing nobody was around, you just thought you could get away with it? Or was there traffic around, and you were thinking about something else, like the phone call? It would make you feel better if you got pulled over by a cop? Or did you run it because you didn't see any cops around?
You guys are saying these cameras are against the law? What law? Isn't that up to the state and municipality? Why would they have the cameras up there at all, if they were illegal? Wouldn't it be common knowledge you'd never have to pay a ticket if it was somehow illegal? While I don't know, I wouldn't think they would put up something against the law. Don't they MAKE the laws, and know whether it's against the law or not? Maybe naive, but it doesn't make sense to me. They certainly aren't the only areas to have those in place.

up here...If you?re caught talking or texting while driving, you face a $500 fine? if you put someone else at risk you could receive up to $1,000 fine, lose 6 demerit points? plus you could receive a suspension on your license and even some jail time!

I have microsoft sync in my vehicle, I was talking to my friend but not holding the phone, the camera has exact time, pics of vehicle before light and after light and a video, I damn sure ran it. I will try to post it here tonight. I dont like the intrusiveness of it, if they had a cop at every red light, then its fair game. having a camera busting you is bullshit. I understand I broke the law, I probably speed on a daily basis. I just wonder if these tickets go on your permanent driving record:shrug:
