Tonight's Red Wings-Hurricanes game delayed by poor ice in Raleigh
Game may have to be rescheduled if not underway by 8:30 at latest
Poor ice conditions are delaying the start of the Detroit Red Wings game tonight.
The Wings were scheduled to face off against the Hurricanes at PNC Arena at 7:08 p.m., but around 6:30 general manager Ken Holland was informed ice conditions would cause a delay.
At 6:50, the Wings were told it would be delayed at least half an hour. The Hurricanes organization said it was due to an issue with the cooling system.
►There is a limit to how long Wings can wait, as they have a 7:30 p.m. game Tuesday at Tampa Bay.
