Since the 1995-96 NHL season, the Coyotes have terrorized Calgary. Phoenix owns a 20-3-4 record against the Flames, a seven-year stretch that includes a 10-1-2 edge at the Pengrowth Saddledome.

The Flames are limping towards the finish line, with centre Marc Savard (concussion), left wing Dave Lowry (separated shoulder), centre Steve Begin (concussion), centre Clarke Wilm (broken ankle), defenceman Denis Gauthier (separated shoulder) and right wing Blake Sloan (neck) all hurting. Several players have been recalled from Saint John of the American Hockey League in the last few days -- Ryan Christie, Steve Montador and, most recently, Calgary native Micki DuPont.
