Remember 1984 finals?
The same thing could be said about the Lakers after game 3 in '84. LA won game one by 15 in Boston, then blew a close one in game two (after going 2-0 against Boston in the regular season). LA blew Boston out in game 3 in LA, and all the talk was not who was going to win, but who would be the MVP for the Lakers.
Boston won in seven games.
Lets not forget the Lakers outplayed Detroit soundly in Game 2. Pistons were playing from behind the entire game. 2 minutes, 16 seconds was the amount of time the Pistons led between the end of the first quarter and Shaq's 5th foul with 6 minutes left in the game. That's the game I was watching.
Except for a 2 minute stretch in the 4th quarter after the 5th foul on Shaq (which even Doc Rivers called a bad call).
Tonight everything went Detroit's way. They had more energy, they hustled more, they shot better, and they got more calls.
I still think it will be Lakers in 6 or 7.
