1-0 ATS and SU last night. Now 23-12 ATS since Feb 2nd.

First game for tonight:

ATL -5.5 vs TOR: Hard to believe that two of the Hawks 11 losses this season have come from the Raptors. ATL tips off the 2nd half of the season in a double revenge situation having lost on the road 109-102 on 10/29 and 126-115 at home on 11/26. After that loss in late November where they were 7-6, the Hawks reeled a 33-2 SU record through the month of January with a 19 game win streak tossed in. They seemingly have played like a different team from that point forward. Hawks seemed to stumble a bit going into the break losing three of their last 6, all on the road, but it should be noted that they notched wins against top opponents in the Wizards and Warriors while playing 9 games in 2 weeks with the last three on the road. Raps have shown well the past three years under coach Dwane Casey in their first game after the all star break going 3-0 ATS all as road underdogs. It will be tough to bet on ATL down the stretch as they have been a covering machine. We may see the odds skewed enough that they begin to regress to the mean. Still, double revenge at home is hard to look past, especially when they were blown out by double digits the last time they faced the Raptors with these two now 1-2 in the standings.

Second revenge angle game tonight

Second revenge angle game tonight

DET +6 vs CHI: Tough one to cap here as Detroit will be suffering from lack of depth tonight after yesterdays trades. Chicago took the first meeting at home on 11/10 102-91. I honestly doubt that the Pistons are looking back on that meeting to hard, especially since the landscape of the team has changed quite a bit since then. This one does not grade out as strong as some others in the revenge angle.

Thanks IE

A little late on this one, but here goes...

DAL -2.5 vs HOU: Mavs have lost twice to the Rockets this season, 95-92 on 11/.22 in Dallas and 99-94 on 1/28 in Houston. Dallas coming off a back to back, but that shouldn't have the typical effect as they are well rested from the break. Mavs should be aware that they'll need this one to keep pace with POR, HOU and LAC, all of whom are within a game and a half of each other with Dallas at the bottom, currently looking at a first round playoff series on the road. They can't afford to lose three times in a season to any one team in their division. This is the 3rd of 4 in the season series, with the 4 meeting coming on April 4th.

GS -7.5 vs SA: This is the 2nd of 3 meetings this season with the first resulting in a 113-100 victory for the Spurs in Oakland on November 11th. That was the last game the Warriors would lose for a month as they would go on to win their next 16 games in a row. The buzz coming out of the GS locker room sounds like they want to get out to a fast start in this one and that they've been looking forward to getting back on track after a very close win at Minnesota in their last game. Despite winning their final three games and bringing a 42-9 record into the break, the Warriors have indicated through the press that they were playing disorganized and sloppy ball and that the All-Star break was just what they needed to regroup. Despite SA losing last night, I don't think Pop will be too worried about dropping two in a row, especially with four games left against lesser opponents on the Rodeo road trip. We all know he doesn't like to push his guys on back-to-backs so we may see him pull his starters late in the 3rd if this has any indication of a blowout. The last meeting was months ago, but you can bet this young GS team remembers getting run out of their own gym as that one of only two losses they've suffered at home all season, while the other was a tight OT loss to the Bulls. I expect a fast start from the Curry, Klay and co. tonight and a play on the first half at -4 is worth a look.
