A liitle under the weather today[flu bug].I played ND and Maryland today.But at 4 is the MAAC game of the yr with marist-Rider.What a game.McCann center will be packed.Both teams are 11-4 and tied for 1st place.These teams played in trenton 2 months ago and marist won 80-69.But Rider who started out the season 1-6 has been on a roll.They have won 8 of last 9.And 11 of last 14.They just had their 7 game win streak broken by Iona loss.But Marist is also on a roll and they own this series.Rider has lost their past 9 games here in Poukeepsie. This game should go down to the the final seconds.Both teams are even.Rider has the stud Porter who is the MAAC Pl.of Yr.He is avg 20 pts and 8 bds.Johnson is a frosh gd that is avg 13 pts a game.Wicks is the best defender in the MAAC.And 6'10 Reed who didn't play in their 1st game had 18 pts and 10 bds vs niagara last week. Marist has kennedy one of the top pt gds in the country.He is 5th in the nation in assits and just 60 pts shy of 1,000.His partner Smith just got his 1,000 last week.Young and bennett had career nites vs Rider the 1st time they played.Eppehimer can shoot and Castleburry and Tullis play the post. I think this game will go right down to the last second.Can't see the Foxes blowing them out.Rider has some talent at the gds and a super star power fd.Therefore I'll take the 5 pts and Rider.Marist wins this 65-64 or vice versa.
