best ever at the hot corner, met him one time at a baseball card show so my son could get a autograph and he talked baseball to my 10 year son for 30 minutes. still is my son's baseball player, and he is in his 40's now.
When we were kids playing street ball and someone would boot a grounder, the rest of us would call out the taunt, "Brooks would have had it!"
Boog, Davey, Mark, and Brooks, my favorite infield of all time.
Their 4-0 sweep of the Met's in '69 was the greatest WS ever.
