Hudson Valley area.....NY
UTSA +10 over North Texas **
over 141.5 ????
Am leaving for North Texas in about an hour..was going to stay away from this game so I could cheer for my alma mater..after doing my capping I had North Texas fav by -6-8..spent a lot of time on this game... when I saw it at +10 had to take the Roadrunners
Both teams started out slow.. UTSA 0-5 and North Texas almost the same..but both teams have awoken and North Texas has won 6 in a row and covering...they are 4th in the country ATS at 12-4...UTSA has now won 3 of last 4 and has the 2 bests gds tandem in the country in Jivahn and Wallace..NT plays outstanding defense and has 3 gds that can score.. but their weakness is there front line UTSA is in trouble playing a team with big wings and front court players.. NT doesn't have that..NT defense is tough but when your playing the Roadrunners gds 1. both can drive,handle the ball and shoot..they don't turn it over..NT defense pressures you ,but think the skill of the UTSA ball handlers negates NT's strength.. NT front line with Simmons and co is a little above avg...UTSA is under sized but should be able to rebound with them...NT had Smart,Woolridhe and Duffy score 18,17, and 15 in a 2 pt loss to UTSA..all are gone except Smart.. have no idea whats up with Smart , when I saw him 3 yrs ago he avg 18 pts a game..last yr 11 and now 4... maybe he plays no D and comes off the bench..in the dog house.. ??? but he can shoot and drive to the basket.. but he has been a non factor on the rise of North Texas..

my buddy " sheep" who is now a professor at NT has court side seats for tonites game and UTEP's on saturday.. we now have to call him Dr. Sheep...he got his nickname in 1969 because he blonde curly nappy looking hair looked exactly like a sheeps hair.. still does today...another one of my buddies will be introduced before the game and North Tex is honoring the Sun Belt champions of a few yr back...

will put a few down on the Roadrunners over-under still not sure

Box;

Hope you had a good time at your old stomping grounds.

St. Mary's had dropped down to 8.5 on Bovada, so a fortunate Cover there. CBS crew agreed that the Gaels did not play well, thus the slow start/being down 15 early. St. Mary's plays sound ball and they win by 15.
