I am going to start to get into this game tonight. I really dont see that Temple has much. They did institute a new offense this year, but Oregon St has one of the best secondaries in the country, I dont like how that matches up for Temple. I think the line is moving the wrong way, but thats just me.

Couple of good threads on this game already. Intersting to note mentioned in one of those threads that while Temple did win big in week one, 21 points came from the defense. Dont think you can count on something like that week to week.

I'd be careful on this one. I haven't done my due diligence on this one, but I smell something very fishy. Most likely a reason for the Temple action.

Last year Temple's offense ranked 112th out of 117 teams but they do have 9 starters back so they should be better. They beat Richmond last week 34-7 and if 21 points came from the defense, doesn't say much yet. In the seven games they lost last year, they lost by an average of 29.9 pts (Toledo, Bowling Green, Boston College, Syracuse, Pitt, Miami, VTech). Teams they beat (Navy, Rutgers, W.Virg, and Connecticut) they beat by an average of 24 pts. They beat the bad teams badly but lose badly to the good ones. I would say Oregon St is a good one. They racked up close to 500 yards of total offense I believe last week against a bad E. Kentucy team and an interesting trend is they are 7-0 since 98 ATS after gaining over 475 yards in their previous game. Their defense was ranked 2nd in the PAC last year, not that that means much. They return 15 starters from last year and their offense appears to be clicking better than Temples. I'm taking Oregon St tonight -9.5. Good luck:D :toast:

Even better.....

OSU racked up 600 yards in offense. E Kentucky is not that bad of a team actaully. They are picked to win their conference by a few publications and Sagarin has them at #22 in 1-AA.

why is everyone so interested in Northcoast's play this year, are they that good? I just don't know anything about them. If they are good, I'll watch the forum for their pick, and maybe throw a few more dollars on their pick, as long as they agree with me of course.;)

I don't think the line will drop much lower Longhorn, if anything it might get back to the -10.5 number with late money going Ore ST. Even if it does drop it won't make that visually reassuring -6.5.
I remember last year the Beavers were pumped up in the Top 10 I think and then lose to Fresno and were never the same. Hopefully that's all behind them. I think the Beavers team speed will be too much for the Owls to handle. One of very few favorites that I like this week is Ore St -9.5.
