I was at the local amusement park last week and had the privilege to see the new roller coaster they have built. This thing is 420 ft. tall and shoots you 120 mph in 4 seconds. For you people who have the balls to ride something like this my hats off to you!!!!!!!!!! I know I could not do it,and if I did I probably would soil my pants!!!

My worst experience was the ride that shoots you up and drops you that's located on top of the Statasphere in Vegas. Felt like it would never stop at the top. I love Roller Coasters, but this one was scarry!!! (still trying to get the skid marks out of my underwear!!!) :D :D

Eric, Lanny, or anyone else ever riden this????

I rode that one at the top of the Stratospher. At the time I went no one else wanted to ride and for some reason they have to have at least two people. So they went down to the gift shop and got a very pretty young female clerk to ride it with me. They take your picture at the top of the ride. Here is this pretty girl all smiles and next to her is me, my face all distorted looking like a fat man trying to duck milk duds are that being thrown at him.

The fact that I could see across the lake from the top of the Magnum was enough for me, I'll stop at that one. Tried the sky coaster thing once where they haul you up 200 feet and drop you tied to that cable, you only free fall for about 60 feet really, but the sound that thing makes when you pull the release cable will be with me till I go to the dirt nap.

Thanks for the advice Hellah

I know with a lot of coasters....the last seat is the best one. Love the last seat on the Magnum and The Raptor.

And boy are you right......Fawk all that Six Flags stuff. Dag gone near as expensive......parking is absoultely friggin riduculous......and the rides are second rate.

yes cedar point! definitely a great place to go.me and the wife go almost every other year if not every year. getting tougher to wait in the long lines now especially in the heat.

my question is was the new ride up this year? because we went in august and i dont remember it being up? but we also didnt stay to long..kinda tired of the waiting. so im guesing it wasnt up

but what a park..beaches are fantastic..most of the time when were in the park we'll take a break and relax @ the beach

no park and i mean no park tops cedar point

as for me yes i would go on the new one..love coasters very much and the millenuim is awesome

I know what you exactley mean when it comes to waiting. Thats why its great to have a bunch of friends with ya....you wait an hour for the millenium force and you just talk about whatever. Most of the time we just stand their and try to talk to the hot girls there...sometimes we succed...alot of times we fail :p

then again - we go alot in May were the lines arent so long...and the days arent so hot...and the kids are still in school...

the beaches are wonderful...you can see alot of things out there. You can see davis besse and Toledo Edison if you have binoculars.

If you keep driving west on route 2 for 30 minutes(main route to get to cedar point) you`ll get to my house....well that all depends also on how fast you drive

maumee bay is also by my place...awesome lake side view.

seems like alot of MJers go to cedar point...perhaps a get together in teh summer time with the Toronto Rat Pack coming down as well?????

we`ll discuss that when the time comes....but that woudl be cool

btw- last year was one of those years we went but really didnt feel like waiting in lines, so we went on i think 1-2 rides and called it quits went back to our camper and played cards, just another way to relax.

then the next day came and mjer told me where to visit, i cant think of the name off hand but it was some ....bay? we needed to go over by a ferry or sppedboat, we chose the speedboat aolt of fun...wish i caould remember the name of the bay? but it was like on its own little island and we had a great time.

like i said in the 1st post cedar point is a great place just to go to and relax

coasters

coasters

Rollercoasters are on of the saftest things one can do for an adrinline rush. Yes, the speed maybe fast and the G-forces may increase you heart rate but one must remember; these cars are on a track.

I love coasters , I don't understand the fear of others about them.
