Rough Weather Today

Got a bit rough here in the cornfields of iowa. Power was out for a few hours, some small hail and rain is all I got at my house.
Five miles west of me a tornado did some significant damage to a small town and a couple small towns just north of us also had significant damage.
a friend in the iowa city area had his neighbors house destroyed but left his untouched.
Still a lot of power outages around eastern iowa, but I haven’t heard of any deaths as of this morning.

I hope everyone had power so they could watch that win last night over South Carolina. Caitlyn Clark is a machine!
My power came back on at 812 central time and I found a link to watch the game—- and then it didn’t start until 850. :mj07:
She is unstoppable and it’s gonna be a hell of a party in iowa city when they bring home the trophy after tomorrow’s win
I have never watched women's NCAA basketball until last night. All the publicity about Clark got me curious. This gal is the real deal. Speed kills in sports. She's got that and tremendous court awareness.
I know they did. S Carolina was undefeated this season until last night and were the defending champs.
Best part of the game last night was the look on their faces when the refs had the audacity to call fouls on them.
The arrogance shown by the S Carolina players and coaches was hilarious.. and after iowa punched them in the mouth and they were still arrogant and they didn’t alter their game plan, it was game over for them.
I hadn’t watched more than a few minutes of women’s college basketball before two weeks ago, either…
and if it wasn’t the lady Hawkeyes still playing, I’m sure I wouldn’t be watching any longer.
but it’s my Hawkeyes and I’ll be glued to the game tomorrow afternoon.
