Although the odds makers haven't fallen into this trap I believe some cappers may. The Hilltoppers of W. Kentucky (28-3) conf. champions and conf. tourney champions come in with a pretty record and a nice win over Kentucky and they are getting points to a down Stanford program who lost its last game by close to fifty.
Yes sir Stanford will win this game and I believe they will do so handily. As with any other year, tournament games are won with good guard play and Jacobsen and Barnes are very solid for the Cardinal. I think Borchardt will be able to contain Marcus, as he has faced several excellent big men in the PAC 10 this year. Stanford will atone for its worst showing of the season and I look for them to come out with a passion on thursday. W. Kentucky's overall record of 28-3 is good enough that you won't have to worry about Stanford overlooking them en route to their second round game against Kansas. This is a big jump up in class for the hilltoppers whose dream season is about to end.
