29. As a client of Infinity Sports you will receive the world's highest parlay odds as well as the possibility of wagering up to 15 team parlays. It is forbidden to play both sides of the same game at Infinity Sports. If a client plays both sides of the same game then any winning wagers on the game will be cancelled. For example:

Philadelphia Eagles 32 1/2
Chicago Bears -3

If you play Chicago in a wager, we ask you not to play Philadelphia in another wager, likewise if you play over 32 1/2 in one wager we ask you not to play under 32 1/2 in another wager.

Is this a standard rule at all sportsbooks?? :( and if so, how technical is it? what if a point spread or money line, or run line changes? does that make it okay to bet both sides in different bets?

I have also wondered how technical it is ............I have to say that I have done it before, to but back a wager only. Then I wonder, what the heck should they care? If I go Phil -3 for $100 @-110 and then Chi +3 for $100 @-110, they have just guaranteed themselves a vig winner, barring a push. Isn't this what a book is going after, anyway??
Then I wonder again, even more so, my thinking being thus: They posted the line , presumably to attract bets. If I bet, say Chi for $100 to go the opposite way on my wager, they consider it a no go. But, If Joe blow sends in the same $100 on Chi. , it is welcomed with open arms. What's the difference?? $100 is $100 no matter who wagered it . Just some random thoughts.

I would advise against playing with a book with a written rule like that. Notice that all *winning* wagers are cancelled. If you are going to cancel wagers placed on both sides that is fine, but only having to cancel winning wagers is akin to printing yourself a license to steal.

I guess you could sort of play around a rule like that and just be careful not to buy back any plays but for players who play at only 1 or 2 books this should be a book to definitely avoid.

Maybe my interpretation is wrong, but I thought this meant they didn't want you locking up on a parlay bet.
Say you had a 3 team parlay
Chicago -3
Miami -3
St. Louis -3

You hit Chicago and Miami on the early games with St. Louis the late ESPN game. They wouldn't want you betting against St.louis at +3 the other way thus giving you no risk and the possibilty of hitting the 3-teamer.

Still that sucks, but that's what I thought the rule meant.

Exactly. Don't play there, C.

The only experience I have with Infinity is fron entering the NFL contest in 2002. I did lose there and there was really nothing wrong with the book otherwise, but that rule is just so incredibly rediculous that I won't play there until they eliminate it or at least change it.
