tough call in this game. i've been laying on bos alot and they have come through so i hate to go against them, and with nj playin' great ball and jkidd running the team like a well oiled machine this game is up for grabs w/ respect to the spread. i can't seem to pick a winner on this one

tor coming off bad game against mem even though they won. atl playin' ok lately despite losses to NYK. another tough game to call. i like atl at home getting points but the raps are unpredictable, when they come to play they can kill teams, and on the other hand they can come out and play like they did against mem.

boy, was has come off of 2 straight wins and orl is playing really bad especially w/ hill out. they need to re-adjust to life w/out hill AGAIN, and this makes this game a tough call. my rule of thumb in the NBA right now is if your not betting w/ wash/lal don't bet the game at all cause you never know when jordan will be "old" jordan and when he'll be "new" jordan. i have faith in the old man so i'm gonna lay small on a simmering washington team

cle stinks and cha is not playing well....hmmmm.....what to do... i'll take cha the better team, and with baron davis finally accepting a "star" role on the hornets he will be a force to be reckon with. wesley is finally playing to form and they are adjusting to life w/out mash. so i think cha really hurts up the cavs in this one

i don't believe in NYK yet...but i DO believe in the det hype...they have a very solid team that even w/ camby will outrebound the knicks handily..though det played on fri, i believe they are the better team and they should play well here. i know knicks are a much better home team but det will be ready for this game and i see a close one w/ det edging the knicks out so i'll take the points and run with it

chi stinks...and phi coming off a bad loss to wash where they played like they weren't interested in winning just watching jordan light them up...i think they will be ready to run the score up in this one and miller will be non-effective against mutombo...iverson lights da bulls and phi wins handily in double digits

I DON'T BELIEVE THIS LINE..right now stardust has them at a pk...i KNOW this line will rise to like -7 spurs and if it doesn't i have no clue what the linesmakers are thinking...SAS lost a heartbreaker to sac and they'll be ready to pound on a no francis/mobley houston squad...spurs played OT but so early in season i don't feel it will effect spurs as much...so this is my POD

i originally had this line at GS +6...dal coming off a loss to sac and they'll be pumped for this game as should GS be after blowing a huge lead against the mavs...this game has too many angles to work with which clouds my "rookie" vision...i'll pass on this game

as stated above a rule of thumb is if i'm not playin' the lakers i'm not playin' the game at all...but this one will be a blowout in favour of the show...o'neal thrown out yesterday so he'll be rested and ready to take his frustration out on the t'wolves who i believe aren't as good as their record would say...they are a medicore team that was hot in the beginning of the season and that's it...there the same 8th seed squad they have been for the last x amount of years..o'neal scores 40 and bryant scores 20 and they blow the wolves out of the water and back down to earth!

i have actually gotten some replies saying that my post is helpful and entertaining so hopefully people will like this post and i'll continue to express my rookie capping thoughts...please again feel free to comment on anything...how stupid my thoughts are or that i am actually progressing in this NBA capping hobby...
